Why collaborate?

Sometimes people pose the question to me: why do I still collaborate, even though I have more than enough business, and have no need to build my portfolio either?

There are still two reasons!

Life is not about myself, but is first of all about the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus, secondly about helping others, and only thirdly about me!

J O Y = Jesus + Others + You.

This is why I love to invest my time and life in yours! No matter what you think or what anyone has told you, you are amazing!! And, I truly care about supporting amazing people like you!!

Secondly, there is something truly totally different about collaborating and creating versus being paid to create. Both of them are like different kinds of nutrients that nourish an artist. An artist constantly needs both of these sources of support to truly flourish and grow!

Had a great time taking photos with my friends and partner! It was the perfect location with lots of different creative spaces. We got the nicest fun photos out of this which we will have forever! (Major International New Zealand Influencer with 50K followers).

Is there a legal agreement between us when we collaborate?

Yes! Doing things right, both ethically and legally, is a part of the meaning of excellence!

Best of all, the only thing required (in legally correct fashion) is that we agree not to do anything negative to anyone! There are no burdensome obligations, only artistic goodness and freedom! How cool is that?!

By collaborating together, we are legally entering into the following contractual agreement:

1. The "Photographer" henceforth refers to Joseph Myers, the owner of this website, modelwith.me, as of June 29, 2021.
2. "Participants" (in plural) or a "Participant" (in singular) henceforth refers to each person other than the Photographer with any role whatsoever in creating pictures, such as modeling or doing any other kind of work with the Photographer.
3. If any Participant is a minor, then the parent or legal guardian of such a Participant must enter into this legal agreement on behalf of such a Participant, and this parent or legal guardian is an additional Participant.
4. "Collaborators" henceforth refers collectively to the Photographer and to all Participants.
5. Our "Collaboration" henceforth refers to any and all interactions of Collaborators with or about one another, as well as to any and all things whatsoever related to any and all interactions with or about one another, present, past, or future; including, but not limited to, any final product(s) of such interactions, whether creative works or any other things whatsoever.
6. Our Collaboration must only be positive. Our Collaboration must not include any words, actions, or any other things at all of any kind which are in any way negative, harmful, or hurtful towards others or towards each other.
7. Any part of the Collaboration which by a reasonable representation of society's standards would be classified as private (e.g., a photo of a collaborator including their own car's license plate number or street address, or an audio clip including gossip about a collaborator's friends), must be kept private between Collaborators only.
8. Subject to the above limitations, Collaborators may use the Collaboration as unpaid artistic free speech either personally, editorially, or as examples to others of their work, such as but not limited to publishing them in a portfolio or showing them to others as posing ideas.
9. Any other use other than as above, including, but not limited to, commercial use, promotion or advertising of any for-profit entity, transfer of rights, or receipt of revenue from the Collaboration, requires separate written agreement, which must still be subject to (6.) above.
10. No criminal activities are allowed.
11. Collaborators release each other from liability for any actions or omissions in the Collaboration to the furthest extent possible, except to the extent required by law.
12. There is no warranty, not even for merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

I had a great time! I feel like in such a short amount of time we got plenty of photos and had so much fun. I felt very comfortable and joseph gave me so many posing ideas! The infinite value of pictures can be expressed by a life-changing moment in the famous movie, The Wizard of Oz, when Dorothy goes over the rainbow, and everything changes from dull and dismal to clear and color.

To communicate this message artistically is why I have chosen a black-and-white theme for everything at my own website except for the pictures themselves which alone are in full color.

The quality of your photos was absolutely outstanding! You definitely live up to your reputation! We really were blessed to have had the photo shoot! Joseph's Photography exceeds in every way! During the photoshoot, Joseph creates a very comfortable and fun environment that allows the opportunity to capture beautiful, raw photos that others might miss out on. In my personal experience, I was very nervous and apprehensive about getting my picture taken. However, once we began, I felt zero anxiety and ended up having a great time. Artistry Beyond Equal

Joseph gives all the glory to God who is the true ultimate Artist, and to his artistic father and mother, who majored and had brilliantly successful careers in art, painting, mathematics, physics, teaching, publishing, science, and optical design for Texas Instruments and NASA, including multi-million-dollar lenses used on numerous space probes, including Voyager I and Voyager II. Joseph believes he is an ordinary person, just like you. Joseph doesn't pursue popularity. Instead, his passion is creating beautiful things with no ulterior motive, because that's what God does. One of Joseph's favorite illustrations to explain his life perspective is this: "The most beautiful mountain meadow in the world God created somewhere without even telling anyone, and probably only a poor shepherd child has ever seen it. God cares just as much about that poor child as for all the royalty in the world, and I want to be the same."

I really enjoyed taking photos with @athletic.photos because we were able to make creative and powerful statements with just the click of a photo! I love the excitement of feeling beautiful and knowing that these pictures will turn out great. Getting to bring a friend makes it all the more fun and helps contribute to more poses and styles. One of Joseph's favorite phrases to frame photography is, "A work of art should be a work of heart." Like the Bible says in the parable of the Good Samaritan, Joseph truly cares about his neighbors more than making himself a famous name. Joseph wants to use his God-given talents and skills not to be a slave serving mainstream media or a pawn to the glamour of the world's top so-called celebrities, but to be a blessing to precious people like you. With this in mind, Joseph's photography accomplishments that are his greatest treasure are not his famous features and countless cover photos, but rather capturing thousands of once-in-a-lifetime occasions and priceless photoshoots for family, friends, and precious people like you!

Quality Beyond Compare

Since Joseph took his first photo with his big brother's camera at age four, and began saving for the next four years to buy his big sister's camera at age eight, he has dedicated his life to mastering photography, absorbing and learning every precious treasure of knowledge he could find, and working his hardest at every step along his journey with every level of equipment from the most basic to the very best. Joseph is now so blessed to be able to create unbelievably lifelike and breathtakingly lovely pictures of the highest quality by combining his stunning skills exclusively with the latest technological pinnacle of best-in-the-world professional prime lenses and full-frame cameras that are about thirty times higher quality than the usual "professional" standard of excellent quality and 5+ years of experience that goes for $250+ per hour, and over seven times higher quality than the typical flagship full-frame "top professional" level of outstanding quality and 10+ years of deep experience that markets for $500+ per hour.

You can see Joseph's quality of photography for yourself by playing the video clip above. All pictures look the same on social media or even at first glance in person, which is how lower quality photographers will get you.

But when you magnify the subtle details of each picture each by the same amount of 137x, and take a true closer look—like at the beautiful, stylish sparkles that make her fingernail polish have her hallmark true trademark of fashion—you can see the very real difference made by Joseph's scientific photographic technique combined with the best tools of the trade.

In the other two pictures, with iPhone quality or even 'top pro' quality, but not Joseph's quality, those beautiful details are not there, meaning that her love and passion for fashion like the lovely flower print of her skirt and even the sparkles in her nail polish are not correctly captured but are lost to the winds of time forever.

Joseph was an absolute pleasure to work with! The first time I had seen his photos was when I was sent some pictures he had taken of me at a [redacted for privacy, top-25 D1 university] game for dance team. I was instantly blown away by his skill at taking action shots with such high quality camera work. Each picture you could tell was taken with such precision and care. So when I got the chance to model for him I took the opportunity and ran with it! Joseph was such a lovely photographer to work with. He went above and beyond my expectations of finding the right angles, lighting, poses, etc., to find that one perfect picture. Throughout the shoot, he came up with multiple amazing ideas that truly made his pictures more than just images. He made his work into art and it truly did show.
